SGS CERTIFICATE

SGS certifies components and finished products for wide range of goods, for both consumer and commercial products, including electrical and electronic, toys and juvenile products, and hardlines.

The Secretary of the General Staff (SGS) coordinates command group operations and is the key advisor to the command group for administration and staff action management.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which was founded in 1906 after the enactment of the Federal Food and Drugs Act, is a government agency. It is the oldest consumer protection agency in the world. The FDA certification is required before the products can be sold in the United States.

FDA’s export certification provides the agency’s official attestation concerning a product’s regulatory or marketing status, based on available information at the time FDA issues the certificate (including, as appropriate, attestations provided by the person seeking the certificate). The fact that FDA issued an export certificate does not preclude FDA from taking appropriate regulatory action against a product covered by the certificate.

FDA issues different types of export certification for different food products. In limited circumstances, other federal agencies may issue export certificates for FDA-regulated food products, usually regarding compliance with foreign standards. It is the exporter’s responsibility to comply with the laws of the importing country, so you may wish to consult your importer or the relevant regulatory authorities in the importing country to determine what type of export certificate is required, if any. Please consult the lists below for descriptions of the types of export certificates offered by FDA and other federal agencies.

KOSHER CERTIFICATION

The STAR-K kosher symbol, or the STAR-K symbol in conjunction with the 'Pareve' designation, guarantees that the product contains no meat, dairy, or poultry derivative and is therefore suitable for vegetarian use.

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. (FSSAI)

All Food business operators including pharmacies or medical stores selling Health supplements or Nutraceutical products need to apply for the FSSAI license or registration.

It ensures the food products undergo quality checks thereby curtailing the food adulteration and sale of sub-standard products.

It is responsible for the registering and licensing of the FBOs in India and it lays down the rules and regulations for running the food business in India.

ONE STAR EXPORT HOUSE

The Government of India launched the Star Export House Certificate / Status Holder Certificate as an export promotion scheme under foreign trade policy.

The Certificate/Status is granted to business leaders who have excelled in international trade and have successfully contributed to the country's foreign trade

Authorization and customs clearance for imports and exports may be permitted based on self-declaration. Exemption from furnishing a bank guarantee for schemes under FTP unless otherwise specified.
